Okay... Jeff? Bobbie? Your opinions, please?DCF
Fine. I'll start. I can't wait to see how the Dems' speech goes down.DCF
I agree. Maybe he could get Cheney to do a dance number.
If he's gonna take this show on the road, I think he needs to do a complete re-write first. Even off-Broadway, it needs to be more believeable.
Absolutely. He didn't sound like he was trying to run for office this time - remember last year's? - but it was still a steady stream of what sounds like crap to me.Admittedly, I'm a bit biased...
Why the heck does it keep posting MY REPLIES before your comments?
Well once again I "heard" a lot of things that on the surface appeals to me. But unfortunately, and as I've said before, GWB may talk the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk, and frankly he doesn't even talk the talk very well. Typical BS the Union speech, a little better than past ones, but no more believable than ever. Funny he should mention Bill Clinton, I don't know why it was funny...but it was. Time for go to bed.
Well, Bobbie, after the half-assed effort by the Dems yesterday during the attempt to raise votes for a filibuster, I'm going to register as an Independent...
Seriously - I wasn't surprised by anything. It's the same thing he always says. We need Patriot Act, it's all legal, it's GOOD that we want to eradicate your civil liberties, it's for your own good. yada yada yada yada. I am not a Democrat - not even close. The party closest to my beliefs is the Constitution party. This guy wants to rip up the whole thing and flush it. Times like this and presidents like this are WHY the Constitution was written, and people need to wake up and realize that and do something about it. Voting for a Democrat next time is not going to change anything - it's just the way things are headed.
Whaddaya want from me, Bobbie? This is a small place... I have some Goldfish crackers, if you want some...
Where's the wine and cheese?
The Democrats have put that guy who won West Virginia up to rebut the speech. What's his name?
Oh, wait... It's Tim Kaine.
Kaine looks like he's about to start giggling like a schoolgirl at any moment...But he's pointing out a lot of good points, like the administration - who talked so much about their No Child Left Behind Act - cutting funding for the program and refusing states a chance to try other programs.

Divorced twice (because I obviously didn't learn my lesson), I now live with a friend and several guitars. I have three kids that are the best thing that ever happened to me. Oh, and when threatened, I can inflate to five times my normal size.
